My name is Caroline, and I am beyond the moon 🌙 excited that YOU are interested in
THE Chair Yoga Revolution.
I am a Physical Therapist Assistant and Yoga Teacher with a decade of experience, and I became obsessed with Adaptive, Therapeutic-Grade Yoga because I suffered a wrist and hand injury in 2017 that totally changed how I practiced yoga and viewed the practice.
After becoming a PTA in 2020, I learned incredibly valueable information about health conditions, exercises to help people recover from injuries, massage techniques, and approached physical therapy through the lens of yoga.
I have worked in outpatient PT clinics, in-patient rehab, acute care, senior centers, fitness centers, churches, and yoga studios, and loved to see the ways therapeutic yoga could be integrated into all of them.
After school, I taught yoga to hundreds of people living with many different types of health conditions, ranging from back pain to joint replacements, from brain injuries and spinal cord injuries to progressive neuromuscular conditions, and I was always able to find ways to bring the practice to the human in front of me.
I don't have it all figured out, but I have had a great time along the way, learning from my students and being reminded that each and every one of us is beautifully different.
I don't really feel like a yoga teacher, but more a yoga collaborator when working with this population. The goal of every session is not to fix or to heal, but to listen deeply, to offer suggestions, to play, laugh, and explore, and, most importantly, remind people of their wholeness.
I hope you'll join us and make the yoga world a
more inclusive and welcoming place.
Yoga is for ALL of us!
